Here are some things done by administrators and how to do them:
User's Privileges - By default, when a new user is created, they are given few privileges, just like a student. A teachers account must be created and then given permission to create courses.
To do this go to:
Site Administration
>Users
Under Remissions, select Assign Roles
Click on Course Creator
Click on Add
The user (teacher) should now be able to create courses and content for their students.
